Abstract

This paper presents a method for detecting pornography or nudity in color image for large scale upload system. Based on a trend of uploaded pictures that nudity is often uploaded in group, we apply an algorithm to retrieve a probability of each picture and then decide if the picture group is pornography or not. To calculate the probability of each picture, we use three color spaces to increase the precision of detection: RGB, HSV and IHLS. The skin regions are analyzed for clues indicating nudity or non-nudity such as their sizes and relative distances from each other. The proposed pornography picture detection method for large scale upload picture system is able to detect nudity with a 95.23% recall and an 0.04 % false positive rate. It correctly identified 5098 out of 5353 nude images.

Keywords:  nudity detection, uploaded pictures, color space, skin region, pornography detection.

Abstract

We consider a discrete linear system described by the equation

x(t + 1) = Ax(t) + Bu(t),

where  t ; A, B are real matrices of degree  nn and  nm;   x and u are maps  x : T  ; u :  T  ; t is called a time variable ; x is called a state function ; u  is called a control function.

Let us consider an economic model given by a system of equations

(1)

Where Y(t) is the General Domestic Product (GDP) of year t; C(t) is the consume depending for GDP of last year; I(t) is the investment; u(t) is the consume independent for GDP; .

We consider now a balance model of many sectors described by equations

(2)

where  is the consumption norm of the product i to produce a unit of the product j;  is the consumption demand for the product i.

In this paper we proof that the system (1) is completely controllable if only if  and proof that the system (2) is always not controllable.

 Abstract

Currently, the mountainous areas of  Thanh Hoa Province are difficult for traffic and travel, the demand for electric power supply is limited. In the Pu Hu nature conservation, the terraced fields higher than the creek poured from the top of the mountain; the water from the lower to higher than 3-6 m to irrigate the fields. This is no small difficulty. But do not know since when, the Thai people in Thanh Hoa Province have created “treadmill using water”. While that electric power is not enough energy for daily activities of the people here. Since then, life after life, the people  has transfered the experience to create the  treadmill using water, until today using simple materials from crops being planting in popularity in Quan Hoa District, Thanh Hoa Province, in addition, by skillful hands, people have made the non-motorized pumps. The Luong River and river branches of  the  heroic Ma River which stretches in the western of Thanh Hoa province, that is favorable to the installation of the “treadmill using water” of these hometowns. Because the river branches always has water all year, so  “treadmill using water  operates continuously.

Abstract

Cassava starch wastewater treatment is remaining challenges for the cassava processing factories because it requires expensive technologies and does not give any economic benefit except biogas. Moreover, the treated wastewater still contains high level of nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorus so that it continues causing pollution for water resource. The idea of utilizing the cassava starch wastewater as a source of nutrients to culture microalgae for biodiesel production may solve above problems. We have successfully isolated several microalgae strains which can well adapt with the cassava starch wastewater. For next steps, we are calling for research co-operations in biological and chemical analyses as well as culturing system development.

Abstract: Biochar has received increasing attention because it is believed to sequester carbon and improve soil properties. Therefore, applying agricultural residues-derived biochar to soils may become one of the several optional solutions for disposing agricultural waste in Vietnam. However, understanding of biochar`s physicochemical characteristics is very important to guide the researchers in identifying specific end uses. In this study, biochar were produced by pyrolysis of rice husk and rice straw, most abundantly available agricultural wastes in Vietnam and South-East Asia. The effect of pyrolysis temperature (350-550 °C) on physicochemical properties of the biochar was investigated. The results indicated that ash content, specific surface area, carbon content and water adsorption capacity increased as the pyrolysis temperature increased, while the yield, hydrogen and oxygen content decreased with the increase of pyrolysis temperature. The volatiles released during the pyrolysis process creating pores in the carbonaceous materials which was revealed with the scanning electron microscope images. The increase of surface area provides more adsorption sites and space for water retention. The cation exchange capacity (CEC) of biochar decreased with increasing temperature; however the pH became more alkaline at higher temperatures. The findings suggest that lower temperature biochar will be better used to increase soil CEC while the high temperature biochar will enhance soil pH.
